Rose Noir (by Divine Prophet out of Raspberry Rise) is trained by Queensland’s #1 Trainer... Tony Gollan! She won her first up and Maiden in November 2023. In the ensuing 2 preparations throughout 2024, she enjoyed a couple of 2nd placings, plus two 4th placings. She loves to run on the pace... but has been the recipient of several poor barrier draws.
She jumped from Barrier 7 at the Vince Insurance (BM65) – the two favourites were drawn at 2 & 4 respectively. She ran the eventual winner to within 0.84L. The winner is a short distance specialist. Rose Noir has plenty of speed but her preferred distance is 11-1200m. She would likely have won had she not been forced wide early... an outstanding first up run in this new preparation.
She is a replica body shape of her Mum (Raspberry Rose) - although smaller she is blessed with a beautiful, overreaching action and considerable pace.
