Charles Blanc de Blancs Syndicate
Charles Blanc de Blancs is one of the two Prestige Cuvées of Gardet. Scintillatingly fine bubbles and elegantly flavoured, it’s packaged in a beautifully etched proprietary clear glass Champagne bottle. Typical of the House of Gardet, it has excellent body and carries its gorgeous dry, mesmerising finish with consummate style. This trio (3-horse syndication) are outstanding with sires like Circus Maximus, Almanzor and Proisir… their Dams are equally impressive. I can see many big race occasions ahead with these 3… I’ll make sure we have good supplies of Charles Blanc de Blancs at the ready.
The 1st horse
CIRCUS MAXIMUS-NEAPOLITAN colt
Circus Maximus (Galileo), who was a Champion Miler and triple Group One winner. Galileo was a Champion 3YO colt in Europe, GB and Ireland only to become a Champion Sire in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. An exceptional sire who’s G1 successes include the famed Paris Longchamp Prix du Moulin de Longchamp.
New Zealand is very fortunate to have access to a Champion Son of Galileo available to breed to our mares. This striking colt is from his very first crop of New Zealand yearlings.
Neapolitan is a stakes placed 2YO, daughter of Denman out of G2 winner Viennetta. This colt is her second foal and a half-brother to Setteveli who has had two wins and a second as a 3yo. He is ready to compete and we believe win Group races as a 4yo. He descends from the great producer Bali Sugar who has left an exceptional legacy through her daughters producing outstanding racehorses.
He is a flashy chestnut colt who shows substance and strength with a lovely action and balance. He will turn heads in our purple and white colours on the track.

The 2nd horse
ALMANZOR-VERNAL filly
Almanzor (Woottoon Bassett) has made an immediate impression at stud with Dynastic winning Karaka Million 2YO Million race followed by Manzoice winning the VRC Derby (Group 1). Recently Sudbina won the Desert Gold Stakes (G3) impressively and the Levin Classic (Gr 1) runner up Zabmanzor.
The filly is out of the unraced Vernal, a half-sister to two Group 1 winners, Hauraki and Kidnapped as well as G2 winner Academus, and Listed winner Deledio. The Melbourne Cup winner Vow and Declare also features closely in her pedigree. A family full of black type with many top racehorses closely related to this filly.
Almanzor is a beautiful cross with Vernal, reflected in the filly’s quality, strength and class. With her outstanding pedigree, any successes this filly has on the track will substantially enhance her future value as a broodmare.

PROISIR-RASPBERRY ROSE filly
Proisir (Choisir) was New Zealand Leading Sire in 2023/24 season with his outstanding Group 1 daughters leading the way with Legarto, Levante, Prowess and his son's Pier, Dark Destroyer and Waitak.
Proisir's progeny have been in hot demand at the 2024 yearling sales series with an average price of $282,500 at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale and $264,444 at Book 1 Karaka Yearling Sales. The highest priced Proisir filly was purchased for $1,600,000 by the very astute buyer Peter Moody from Moody Racing, Victoria.
From the very fast sprinting mare, RASPBERRY ROSE who won three races and has already left the very smart ROSE NOIR who won her first start. Rose Noir is expected to start her new campaign in the upcoming Queensland Carnival.
This beautifully bred filly is very athletic and from an exceptional family that continues to produce stakes performers including Viennetta, Golden Archer, Butterscotch, Mackintosh and the current runner Letsrollthedice.
